How Plinko works

A ball passes through rows of pegs into a slot with a multiplier. When a game’s return includes the stake, a 2× result on a 1-credit stake returns 2 credits: the net gain is 1 credit. A 0.2× result returns 0.2 credits and loses 0.8. Check the rules because displayed winnings and maximum payouts can be defined differently. Animation alone does not reveal the probability of each slot.

For its particular Plinko product, BGaming publishes 8–16 rows, three risk settings, 99% RTP and a maximum 1,000× multiplier. These are provider-published specifications, not universal values or evidence that any listed casino currently offers that version. BGaming.

Multipliers, RTP and risk

RTP describes a theoretical long-run return on total stakes, not the percentage of sessions that finish ahead. At a hypothetical 99% RTP, 100 credits of total wagering corresponds to an expected loss of 1 credit, not a guaranteed 99-credit cash-out. Reusing the same balance increases total wagering. Short sessions can differ sharply from the expectation, and the largest multiplier says nothing by itself about its probability.

Changing rows, stakes or risk settings may change the payout distribution; it does not create a guaranteed winning system. Past outcomes are not a reason to increase a stake in an independently generated game. Doubling after losses can exhaust a finite balance. A spending limit controls exposure; it is not a mathematical advantage. Stop rather than borrow, chase losses or buy prediction software.
